Option 1, the comfortable one: Private transfer or official airport taxi. After a long-haul flight with luggage, this is the right choice for most people, and from two passengers the price quickly becomes more reasonable. Important with taxis: agree on a fixed price including toll fees, or book directly via the Grab app for transparent pricing.
Option 2, the budget one: Bus Route 389 runs directly from the airport (Level 1) to Jomtien for around 130 to 150 Baht in about two hours. Unbeatable for solo travellers with manageable luggage. Buy tickets at the counter and simply follow the signs for "Pattaya".
From Central Bangkok: Ekkamai Is Your Friend
If you are already in Bangkok, head to the eastern bus terminal Ekkamai (right next to BTS Ekkamai station). From there, buses depart frequently for Pattaya, also for around 130 to 150 Baht. The buses terminate at Pattaya's North Terminal; from there a Baht bus or Grab will take you the final kilometres to your destination.
