Pattaya's immigration office is not in the city centre but in Jomtien: Soi 5, Jomtien Beach Road (75/265 Moo 12, Nongprue, Banglamung, Chonburi 20150). From central Pattaya it takes 15 to 25 minutes by car or Bolt/Grab depending on traffic; there is parking on the soi, which fills up quickly in the morning.

The 90-day report in detail
Anyone staying in Thailand for more than 90 consecutive days reports their address every 90 days — this is not a visa extension, just a notification. Three routes:
Online via the official portal tm47.immigration.go.th: possible from the second report onwards, up to 15 days before the due date. Since 2026 the system links your Digital Arrival Card number — keep the 10-digit TDAC reference handy; the details are in the TDAC guide. Important: after a passport renewal the online system will not recognise the new passport — visit once in person to link it, then online filing works again.
In person at Jomtien: within the window of 15 days before to 7 days after the due date, with your passport and the receipt of the last report. Without a crowd it often takes minutes. By post is also permitted but rarely the best choice in practice.
Note that trips abroad reset the clock — after every re-entry the 90 days start counting again.
Retirement extension step by step

TM30 explained briefly
The TM30 notification is the host's duty to report that a foreigner has moved in — hotels do it automatically, private landlords not always. As a condo owner you file it yourself. Why it matters: extensions regularly require the TM30 receipt, and not having it means an extra trip. After returning from abroad to the same address, current practice accepts the existing notification — but it has to exist.

What regulars do differently: arrive early (queue before 8:30am, take a ticket), pick Tuesday to Thursday, prepare and sign all copies beforehand (there is a copy service on site, with its own queue), collect the bank letter the same morning, dress appropriately, and keep the ticket cut-off times in mind.
